Corporate partners

Become part of the Gilgal family

A corporate partner is a corporation that regularly donates significant amounts of money to Gilgal and provides support to us over an extended time. They may support us through fundraising, sponsor activity days for us, or promote our charity on their own website.

Here at Gilgal, we look for partners who share our values and wish to help us end domestic abuse in our community.

Our partners

What does being a corporate partner entail?

Our corporate partners have a profound interest in our charitable activities and genuine wish to help us and our beneficiaries, giving back to the local community and helping women to rebuild their lives.

Some ways our current partners have helped us:

  • Regular monetary donations to help with the running costs of the refuge.
  • Donations of items such as seasonal gifts and appliances.
  • Offering professional services such as legal, accounting, event planning, and marketing advice.
  • Making us their charity of the year, so that we are the recipient of all charitable/ fundraising efforts within a given time.
  • Staff volunteer days – coming into the refuge to run activities, painting and decorating.
  • Championing us within their workplace and community, helping us spread the word about domestic abuse.

In return, corporations benefit in many ways from charitable giving, such as tax deductions, and joining our community. Partnering with Gilgal means becoming part of our family. Not only do our partners work with and support us; often they club together and help each other too. Joining our community is mutually beneficial to all involved; we are always happy to mutually promote partners on social media, and facilitate networking amongst our community. Together, we can keep building our support network.

Most recently, Gateley PLC and Barratt Homes came together for a Volunteer Day to help us paint three resident rooms, two toilets, a shower room and the garden shed! The garden was cleaned and planters were brought in and painted. Finally, the children were able to take part in a fantastically fun Build-A-Bear activity! It was a great day all round filled with positivity and joy.

“Thank you for inviting us into the home of so many wonderful individuals. Everyone was so kind to us and it was such a joy meeting some of your residents, and for more of our own team to see all the wonderful work Gilgal do. We hope we can do something similar again soon.”

- Andlyn White, Gateley
