Women and Children Support

Women and Children SupportThe Support Workers support women throughout their stay at Gilgal, networking with a wide range of professionals to ensure that individual needs are met. Support Workers have a wealth of information at their fingertips and are the first port of call for all the women's practical and emotional needs. In addition women are referred to other agencies according to their need and signposted to services as appropriate. Women and children have Individual Support Plans, which are drawn up in partnership with their named worker.

Likewise, the Children's Worker helps support the women around issues which affect their children as well as providing very valuable support, play and activities to the children.

At Gilgal we aim to treat everyone as an individual and provide support, which is tailored to each person's perceived need. Women and children have one to one time with their named worker on a regular basis. This is a time to explore issues, ask for help, plan for the future, or discuss any concerns.
